South Korean Regulations on Wooden Frames for Import and Export
South Korea has its own set of regulations regarding wooden frames to protect its domestic industries and environment. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) is responsible for enforcing these regulations.
For raw wood frames used in international trade, they must be treated to prevent the introduction of pests. Heat treatment or fumigation is required. Heat treatment typically involves heating the wood to a specific temperature to kill any pests present. Fumigation with approved chemicals can also be used. All treated raw wood frames should be marked with the appropriate certification to show compliance with South Korean regulations.
In the case of 三合木架 (plywood frames), although plywood is a processed product, it is still subject to import and export controls. South Korea has regulations regarding the quality of plywood, including its strength, durability, and resistance to moisture. If the plywood is used in packaging certain products, such as electronics or machinery, it may need to meet additional requirements to ensure the safety and integrity of the goods being shipped.
When it comes to 熏蒸木架 (fumigated wood frames), the fumigation process must meet South Korean standards. The fumigant used should be approved, and detailed documentation about the fumigation, including the type of fumigant, the treatment duration, and the results of any post – treatment inspections, must be provided. This helps customs authorities to ensure that the fumigated frames are compliant and do not pose a risk to South Korea’s domestic industries.
