Morocco’s CNCC Certification and Sahara Climate Packaging Requirements
Morocco implements standards through the National Center for Metrology and Conformity (CNCC), requiring CNCC certification for regulated products. Declarations are submitted via the “Maroc Customs” system, with Arabic-French bilingual documentation mandatory. Textiles and electronics have additional inspection requirements.
Packaging must resist Sahara desert heat (up to 50°C) and sandstorms. UV-stabilized plastics (300 hours exposure without degradation) are mandatory. Food packaging displays “المعلومات الغذائية” (Nutritional Information) in Arabic and French with “تاريخ انتهاء الصلاحية” (Expiry Date). Electrical goods show 220V/50Hz markings and CNCC certification. Wooden packaging needs CNCC-approved ISPM 15 certification with Moroccan Agricultural Ministry stamp.
