Shipping E-cigarettes to Poland
Poland enforces EU TPD through the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) and Customs Service. E-cigarettes are legal but subject to strict labeling and safety requirements, with a focus on preventing youth access.
E-liquids with nicotine are capped at 20mg/ml, and tanks at 2ml. Labels must be in Polish, with warnings like “Nikotyna jest uzależniającą substancją” (Nicotine is an addictive substance) and a list of ingredients. All products must have CE marking and a batch number for traceability.
Transporting e-cigarettes to Poland requires compliance with ADR regulations for road transport of lithium batteries. Air freight via Warsaw Chopin Airport must include a declaration of battery type and quantity, as per IATA rules.
Customs documentation includes a commercial invoice, EORI number, and TPD compliance certificate. Poland imposes 23% VAT on e-cigarettes, plus a tobacco tax of PLN 0.30 per ml of nicotine e-liquid. GIS may conduct post-import inspections, so ensure products match declared specifications. Note that Poland bans e-cigarette sales to minors, but this does not affect transportation.
