Brazilian Regulations on Wooden Frames for Agricultural and Non – Agricultural Use
In Brazil, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply is responsible for regulating wooden frames, especially those related to agricultural products and international trade.
For raw wood frames used in the agricultural sector, such as for packaging fresh produce or agricultural machinery, they must be treated to prevent the spread of pests that could harm Brazil’s agricultural industry. Heat treatment or fumigation with approved chemicals is required. Treated raw wood frames should be clearly marked to show compliance with regulations.
In the non – agricultural sector, for example, when raw wood frames are used in the construction of furniture or for shipping non – agricultural goods, they also need to meet certain quality and safety standards. In the case of international trade, raw wood frames must comply with the regulations of the importing country, which often include ISPM 15 requirements.
Regarding 三合木架 (plywood frames), plywood used in Brazil must meet national quality standards. These standards cover aspects such as the strength of the plywood, its resistance to moisture, and the quality of the adhesives used in its production. Plywood frames are widely used in the Brazilian market, and they need to comply with both domestic and international regulations when used in trade.
For 熏蒸木架 (fumigated wood frames), the fumigation process must be carried out in accordance with Brazilian and international standards. The fumigant used should be approved, and proper documentation about the fumigation, including the type of fumigant, the treatment duration, and the date of fumigation, must be provided. This ensures that the fumigated frames are safe for use and do not pose a risk of pest introduction.
