Common Concealment Methods of Illegal Transportation of Prohibited Items and Prevention
In order to evade supervision, lawbreakers often use various concealment methods when transporting prohibited items. Camouflage and concealment are one of the most common methods. They hide prohibited items in ordinary goods, for example, hiding drugs in fruit boxes or inside electrical equipment, or disassembling guns and hiding them in the interlayers of furniture. Some lawbreakers also use false declarations, deliberately concealing the true contents of the goods and declaring prohibited items as other legal items for transportation. In addition, some people choose to use informal transportation channels, such as small freight companies, private transportation vehicles, or even underground transportation networks to transport prohibited items. In response to these concealment methods, relevant departments need to strengthen technical detection means, use advanced X – ray machines, scanners and other equipment to conduct comprehensive inspections of goods; at the same time, improve the identification ability of transportation practitioners, strengthen training, so that they can identify suspicious goods. In addition, a sound information sharing mechanism should be established, and cooperation among various departments should be strengthened to promptly grasp transportation dynamics and prevent the illegal transportation of prohibited items from multiple aspects.
